Entry #4.1 – March 2009

Humanity is dying. Slowly choking on it’s own bile. Sickness and depravity are a plague infesting city streets. Cancer is spreading faster than I can cut it out.

Investigating murder of 28 year-old Tracy Harrison in house fire on 164th Street. Victim was bound and gagged with duct tape, raped, doused in petrol and left to burn with the apartment. Perpetrator is worst kind of animal. Human filth. Will find him soon.

Entry #4.2 – March 2009

Went amongst cockroaches seeking information. Criminal element always has answers if you ask forcefully enough. Those that I had dealt with before were eager to assist. Others required motivation. Emergency services were busy that night.

Entry #4.3 – March 2009

Eventually obtained name, Simon Weals. Traced suspect to address in Bronx. Paid him a visit. At first was uncooperative. Had to take sharp toys away so he couldn’t hurt anyone. Questioning was more successful once relocated to abandoned basement where I could be more persuasive. Took time to extract full confession. Was in no hurry. Is important to have every detail. Ensure there are no loose ends.

When I was satisfied I went out for petrol. Subject was still unconscious when I returned. Disappointing. Needed full attention for what was to follow. Was important Weals did not miss the show. Would be quite a spectacle. Once in a life-time experience.

Got things ready and waited.

When Weals came round and realised he was soaked in petrol he started to beg for his life. I asked him if Tracy Harrison had begged too. He started to cry. I struck a match. Held it for a moment. The flame danced angrily on the tip. Weals was screaming for mercy. I felt no pity, only satisfaction. It was justice. I let the flame fall and watched him burn. He thrashed around for while. Then his struggles became weaker. Then they stopped.

Before leaving I left a note for the police. Read “VICIOUS KILLER DIES IN HORRIFIC ARSON ACCIDENT”
